How I know I married the right man

I was working last night and by the time I got off, Jason had already put the kids to bed. I came upstairs ready for some relaxing "me" time, and I heard Jason talking in our bedroom. Curious, I went to investigate and found him kneeling by the side of bed with Janica, saying a prayer. Jason was praying that Janica would know how much her parents and Father in Heaven love her, and that she would get help not having accidents in her undies. Since we usually pray in the living room before sending the kids to their beds, I stuck around to find out what was going on.

It turns out that Janica had gone to bed, and then had a poopy accident. Jason was upset, got her cleaned up and then disciplined her before sending her back to bed. Well Janica was upset too, and Jason found her in her bed later feeling very bad about herself. That is when he took her into our room to say a prayer together. By the end of the prayer Janica was crying and I almost was too!

Oh yes, I married the right man. I love you Jason!

I can honestly say that Roderic is potty-trained due to fasting and prayers. Nothing worked with him until we got on our knees. Good luck with Janica!

Jason sounds like a wonderful father! You have a great husband. Fasting and prayer do work!

That is a wonderful story--life at it's best is when Heavenly Father is a part of the process.

This is seriously the most tender tale, Shanda. I love it. You really married well, that's for sure.

I also loved reading about your Disney adventures. I am glad that you guys had a great time.
