A few weeks ago when I was in San Francisco visiting Keturah and taking advantage of my new flight benefits, I saw the movie "The Other Boleyn Girl." Here is my review of the movie.
In the first place, I love Natalie Portman, who played Anne Boleyn. She is a favorite actress of mine. I have yet to see here in a role that I haven't enjoyed. I even liked her in the Star Wars movies! She brought a spark to Anne and I could see why Henry VIII would be willing to divorce his wife and break with the Catholic Church to be with her. However, I didn't like Eric Bana playing the king. He seemed to only have two emotions, anger and lust. I'm under the understanding that people have more emotions than that - even kings - and I would have enjoyed seeing some of those other emotions, but I'm not an actor or an acting coach so what do I know!
Keturah and I laughed at the end of the movie when we saw the typical disclaimer that the movie was based on fictional events, because they were all historical characters! All the same I was curious about how truthful the movie was, and it turns out that the disclaimer was right on. Generally speaking, there was a person named Anne Boleyn and she did marry King Henry VIII of England, but that is about as close as it gets. However, that said, it was still a good movie. I would just caution that you not treat it as a history lesson, as some people do. If you are interested in learning about what really happened, I will put some books on my Shelfari list that I really enjoyed.

I never did see that movie. The previews didn't really get me that interested, but maybe I'll put it on my netflix list.
Are you working on Keturah to convince her to start a blog?
Shanda,
Whenever I try to e-mail you it always bounces back. So what is your e-mail and phone number?
Shanda, I just noticed you had commented on my call for help post. I really appreciate the offer. Send me an e-mail and I'll give you some tips. Transferring files won't be a problem (remember, I'm a computer guy who tries to make tech stuff easy for others.)
just reconstruct my e-mail below in a proper format.
