Top 10 reasons why I am happy

10. The Jazz are in the playoffs and winning! I guess I am a typical fan who only comes out in the spring, but what can I say? I love Derron Williams and watching the old pick and roll. Well, I love them in the playoffs when they are winning. Like now!

9. Kierra knows how to get out of her bed and still doesn't. She was very proud of herself when she gave me this demonstration. I'm very happy she still stays in bed when I put her there. Now that she is two, staying in bed seems to be the only remnant of my little baby that I have left.

8. It is spring. I love the spring! I usually get cabin fever pretty bad in February and by March I am struggling to keep going. Then April comes and the world is beautiful again. The bulbs come up in my yard, the grass is green and weeds haven't overtaken the flowerbeds yet. What a wonderful time of year!

7. Janica is adorable. Yes I think I'm justified in being happy because my daughter is adorable. She told me for this picture that she was being a "rock star." I think she looks more like a little leprechaun, but I will let you decide for yourself.

6. Matching clothes for my children at Easter. Every year I start looking for clothes earlier and earlier for Easter clothes. I have learned to my detriment that stores seem to stock their Easter finery in January and February, so in March and April they can pull out their summer clothes. I don't get it. I just try to play the game and win it. I think I did this year. What cute children!

5. Reading. It is true. Reading makes me happy. This past week I revisted my teenage years a bit by reading some of The Six Sisters series by Marion Chesney. There is something about reading those stories of Regency England that brings a smile to my face. That and John Grisham. He tells some great stories. It takes me about one day to read a John Grisham book. I think they're great!

4. My job. The pay is a joke, but I get to work from home for what seems like a couple of hours a week and I get flight benefits in return. It is very rare that I have to work a full shift and even when I am working, I can watch tv, listen to music, work on my latest cross-stitch, or whatever else I feel like doing. It just feels like a winning situation to me, and it makes me happy.

3. Having two daughters. Look at those cuties! They have fun playing together and both love to be princesses. Lately, Kierra has been correcting me that she is really Snow White. Janica loves Cinderella and even dressed up like her for Halloween. They love giving each other and me hugs. I can't think about the two of them without smiling.

2. Having a son. Tegan will be eight this year and he'll always be my "TeganAngel." We have a joke right now when he is a little moody that he actually can't be moody until he is 13. I tell him that he still owes me six year of being my happy boy before he starts acting upset with me. I don't know how moody he'll be as a teenager, but I'm sure we'll still be close. What a beautiful boy!

1. And the number one thing that makes me happy is of course my eternal sweetheart Jason. He doesn't like having his picture taken, otherwise my blog would be filled with pictures of him. He was sick the past couple of days (which doesn't make me happy, by the way), and there is such a difference when he is feeling better! He truly is the best thing that ever happened to me.

So there you go. I'm sure I left plenty of things off the list that make me happy. I probably left off things or people who make me happier than those listed. If you were left off, please don't feel slighted. It is a little embarassing to me how much joy I get when I see people have left comments on my blog. That makes me happy too! But who are we kidding, if I were to write on this same topic tomorrow, who knows what would be on the list then!
